Details of the 2012/13 season are now published. Please read these details carefully.
The league consists of 2 divisions, both to be played mainly on a Thursday. The Premier League has 9 teams and Division One has 10. The top 3 teams from last year’s Thursday League have been included in the Premier League. We welcome a new team in Kiss Shot and say farewell for now to the University, Gower and South Wales Snooker. Other teams have moved venues. A full list of teams entered is available here.
Due to the restrictions on some venues being able to accomodate Thursday play, 3 teams in the Premier League (County, Fairwater and Savoy) will be playing home games on a Tuesday where possible. However if your team has indicated they cannot play on a Tuesday then your away matches against those sides will be held on a Thursday and in the case of matches v County and Fairwater played at your venue. It is up to you whether to provide food and buy a drink. Please check the fixtures each week to ensure you are clear about your date and venue.
The rankings system that has been so successful over the past three years will continue so please ensure you send in full player details to the match secretary or through the online form.
Matches will begin for some teams on September 20th with the preliminary rounds for the Divisional Cups. This year there will be both Divisional Cups and an all-league Handicap Cup that will start after Christmas. Please note that the Division One cup will be based on an aggregate points format.
