The top five teams in the Premier League all recorded excellent wins this week to leave the race for the title too close to call, as we enter the second half of the season.
Savoy took advantage of a 4-man Mackintosh side to win 4-1, with wins for Mark Bennett, Ryan Rowlands and Matthew Laver once again providing the platform for another victory.
They are joined on 55 points at the top by Taff’s Well B, who backed up their derby win last week with a 5-0 defeat of Rumney British Legion to keep up the pressure on the Barry side.
Senghenydd stay in third after they won a close match 3-2 against Taff’s Well A, who have now lost five matches by the odd frame so far this season.
Cuesaders and Canton Libs A both recorded 5-0 wins against Mackies Lost Boys and Park Club respectively to make the gap between the top five now only 5 points.
It’s not so close at the top of Division One though as Cathays Cons won 4-1 against third-placed Canton Libs B, which coupled with a bye week for Canton Libs Z, means the gap at the top is now 8 points.
