Chris Garwood 4 v 0 Steffan Davies
Congratulations to Trecenydd Snooker’s Chris Garwood who is the 2019 Cardiff Handicap Singles champion after winning 4-0 against Taff’s Well A’s Steffan Davies.
Garwood had a 28 point handicap advantage, but this was swiftly wiped out by Davies at the start of the first frame as he began strongly. However, Garwood hit back with some solid contributions to win the frame by the colours.
The next two frames were very similar as excellent shot selection and some outstanding safety play by Garwood ensured he established a strong early lead. Davies hit back but wasn’t able to capitalise on the chances he had and Garwood won each frame on the colours.
Needing only one frame to complete the victory he started the fourth in a strong manner to quickly build up a big lead, which was enough to comfortably win it and seal the match and with it the title of 2019 Cardiff Handicap Singles champion.
