Fairwater Cons are top of the Premier League after beating Mackintosh 3-2 in a tense affair to move two points clear of their title rivals. Mackintosh started well with Jason Hewitt making a 60 break to win the opening frame to keep up his undefeated start to the season, but Ben Griffiths hit back to defeat Alan Hurley to level things up. The next two frames were shared to take it to a decider, with Luke Pitman winning to seal the victory and show that the race for the title is going to be an exciting and close battle this year.

The result of the season so far took place at Taff’s Well as Llandaff Warriors stormed to a 4-1 win to move up to second place in Division One. Santinder Singh joined Hewitt and Steve Flanagan in having the only 100% records in the league in winning the first frame, which was backed up by wins for Jason Veal and Ken Linsey to seal the victory. Things got worse for Taff’s Well as Chris Johnson made it 4-0 to the visitors before Rob Hayes won a consolation frame, but it wasn’t enough to spoil an outstanding night for the visitors, who are quickly establishing themselves as the most improved team in the league.

Cuesaders remain top of Division One with a 4-1 win over Rumney British Legion, whilst Senghenydd moved into third place with a win at Trecenydd by the same scoreline, with Dylan Emery once again the star of the show with a superb 89 clearance.

Savoy move up to third place in the Premier League after they won their fourth consecutive league match 3-2 at Canton Libs B, whilst Cathays Cons move off the bottom of the Premier League with a 3-2 win at home to Canton Libs Z.
