Taff’s Well B crowned champions

Taff’s Well B are the 2015-16 CDSA Premier League champions after a 5-0 win against South Wales Snooker meant they were unable to be caught on the final day by challengers Canton Libs A and Savoy. The victory was their 18th of the season meaning the team led by captain Tom Cross retained their title, finishing on 101 points.

The runners-up spot is shared by Canton Libs A and Savoy after a dramatic finish saw Canton win 3-2 but lose the last two frames against Taff’s Well A, which allowed Savoy to close the gap after they whitewashed Park Cons 5-0. Both teams also won 18 matches and almost caught the leaders finishing six points behind, whilst Cuesaders comfortably finished in 4th place after a 3-2 win at Senghenydd.

The close battle for 5th place was decided at Cathays Cons as they were beaten 3-2 by Canton Libs Z, who enjoyed a fantastic second half of the season to rise up the table, whilst Canton Libs B beat Rumney British Legion 3-2.
