Senghenydd are back on top of the Premier League after a superb 3-2 win away at Canton Libs A. Wins for John-Henry Griffiths, Dan Bridle and Mike Boucher put them three up, but Canton managed to clinch the final two frames. However, it wasn’t enough for the champions who have now lost four league matches in a row to slip to sixth in the table. The match was also notable as Dan Bridle inflicted the first defeat in two years on the league’s outstanding player Kishan Hirani.

Senghenydd move above Taff’s Well B after a shock 4-1 defeat at Cuesaders, who won the first three very close frames to close the gap on the sides above them, and move within six points of top spot. Taff’ Well’s only frame was won by Kevin Brown who now moves level with Kishan at the top of the individual rankings.

Senghenydd are joined at the top by Savoy who won 3-2 at Rumney British Legion, with a 63 break from Ryan Rowlands being the highlight, whilst Taff’s Well A won by the same scoreline at home to Cathays Cons.

Cathays remain top of Division One, but there are now only three points separating the top three sides after a close 3-2 win for Canton Libs B against neighbours Canton Libs Z, whilst at the bottom Park Club registered their first win of the season after beating Mackies Lost Boys 4-1 at home.
