With only four league matches remaining, the top three sides in the Premier League all matched each other’s results with 3-2 wins to keep the title race wide open.

Leaders Fairwater Cons beat Cuesaders, with Ryan Bowgen winning the opener before Ben Griffiths levelled things up at one frame all. Steffan Davies and Mike Kinman both won to take the match to a decider, with Luke Pitman sealing the victory after beating Phil Ho.

Mackintosh overcame Cathays in a close match to remain only two points behind the leaders, whilst Savoy looked like they were going to gain ground after going 3-0 up against Llandaff Warriors with wins for Sam Thomas, Mark Bennett and Alfie Davies. However, wins for Ken Linsey and Nick Davies against Lee Greening and Kyle Patterson respectively ensured the top three positions stayed the same, with the prospect of an exciting finish to the season ahead.

The race for the Division One title is just as close after Senghenydd went level with Canton Libs Z at the top after beating Taff’s Well 3-2, whilst Bill Bainton’s side were defeated 3-2 at home to Trecenydd Snooker, who are only four points further back in third place with Dylan Emery once again producing the individual highlight of the week with a 63 break.

Canton Libs B moved off the foot of the Premier League table with a 4-1 win at Rumney British Legion after wins for Ed Topham, James Facey, Rory Wigmore and James Wigmore put them two points ahead of Taff’s Well.
